My weekends are usually spent lolling around in my bed, watching re-runs of Friends and recovering from the night before. Somewhere around mid afternoon one such weekend it occurred to me that this was what women in their twenties did not what women in their mid thirties should be doing.

Surely I should have done brunch with suitably grown up ladies, shopped on the Kings Road and was contorting myself into various yoga poses by now. The following weekend I vowed to be grown up. I decided to go on a spa weekend.
